In the last few years, the concept of video calls and online events has become more popular than ever. In this blog, we will read about the powerful capabilities of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing platform and how you can create and host live events and webinars quickly and easily.
Dynamics 365 Marketing is a powerful tool that allows you to create live events and webinars while keeping a close check on different aspects of it, such as tracking, registration, insights, hosting, engagement metrics, landing pages, and more. Whether it's internal or external webinars, product launches, free or paid events, training seminars, or roundtables, you can manage everything with Dynamics 365 Marketing.
How to create your event in 3 simple steps?
#1: Create an event
You can explore the "Event Management" navigation offered by Dynamics 365 Marketing to create an event. To get started, you need to visit "Events" and assign a title to your event. Once done, you need to enter details such as the start and end date of the event and more information, and then save the changes by clicking on the symbol in the top left menu.
You need to find the Format setting (on the General tab) and set it to Webinar (for webinar-only) or Hybrid (to simulcast a live session) on the Event or Session page.
#2: Connect to Microsoft Teams
You can leverage a functionality known as “Stream This Event Online” that allows you to connect the event to Microsoft Teams. You can even make Teams-specific settings (e. g. giving attendees access to Teams’ Q&A option or making the event available as a recording afterward).
#3: Organize participants
One of the best things about Dynamics 365 Marketing while creating events is the ease with which you can keep track of the people involved in the event, your budget, sponsors, and the roles of different people.
You can invite attendees by selecting a link sent to them via email. You will need to select “Marketing Emails” in the Marketing area and click on “+ New” to create emails. By doing this, you'll get redirected to a blank email in which you can create a design by using predefined templates, the drag-and-drop toolbox, or by uploading HTML. You will also get the option of adding a subject line, email body content, plain email text, pre-header, and dynamic expressions to add personalization to your emails.
